Kinjali Village Education & Mobility Support Program
A rural education access initiative supporting students at Kinjali ZP School through bicycle assistance, education kits, and motivational engagement to improve school attendance.
Mission ESW conducted its second outreach initiative at Kinjali Gaon ZP School in Ratnagiri district to support students from nearby rural communities who face significant challenges in accessing education due to distance and limited resources.
The school serves children from seven surrounding villages, including Kinjale, Astana, Chatav, Nandiwali, Vadibid, Kalambani, and Vadgaon. Many students travel between 3 and 8 kilometres daily to attend school, making transportation a major challenge for consistent attendance.
To address this issue, ESW provided bicycle support to 10 students, enabling them to commute more safely and efficiently to school. In addition, educational kits were distributed to assist students with their academic needs. These kits help ensure that students have access to essential learning materials required for their studies.
During the visit, Team ESW also conducted interactive discussions with students, encouraging them to view education as a powerful tool for personal growth and future opportunities. Through personal stories and conversations, the team emphasised the importance of teamwork, friendship, discipline, and perseverance in shaping successful educational journeys.
The initiative was supported by the involvement of teachers, local community members, and social workers who continue to play an important role in strengthening the educational environment within the village.
Looking ahead, ESW plans to extend its support by taking responsibility for the continued education of 10 students after the 10th and 12th standards. This long-term commitment aims to help students pursue higher education and become role models within their communities, inspiring other children to continue their academic journeys.
