Core Tribal Education Access Initiative – Mandangad
A large-scale education support initiative providing 215 tribal students across multiple villages in Mandangad Taluka with essential education kits and continued learning support.
Mission ESW conducted a major education outreach initiative in the core tribal region of Mandangad Taluka, supporting students studying at Veral School. The school serves children from approximately 25 surrounding villages, including Tale, Mahu, Shirsoli, Kulvandi, Dhutroli, Dastori, Poladpur, Chincholi, Unhvare, Panderi, Velvi, Pachral, Navanagar, Kumbharde, Dahimbe, Ombali, Adkhal Adivasi Wadi, Kudambale, Sakhroli, Bhomadi, Pat Adivasi Wadi, Konzar and other nearby tribal settlements.
Many students from these remote mountainous regions reside in Ashram schools and travel long distances to pursue their education. During the visit, Team ESW spent time interacting with students and teachers to better understand their living conditions, educational challenges, and aspirations.
As part of the initiative, ESW distributed 215 educational kits containing essential academic materials to support students throughout the school year. Beyond material support, the team engaged with students through discussions on the importance of education, teamwork, friendship, and the role that knowledge plays in shaping future opportunities. Personal experiences were shared to motivate students and encourage them to pursue their ambitions with confidence.
The visit also highlighted the critical role of teachers in nurturing students from remote communities and guiding them toward long-term success. Observations from the field reinforced the need for sustained educational support in tribal regions where resources remain limited.
Looking ahead, ESW plans to extend this initiative through additional programs, including year-long education support for 40 girls before and after the 10th standard, access to MS-CIT digital training courses, job-oriented skill development programs, and digital learning support through educational television and online resources. These efforts aim to strengthen both academic and skill-based pathways for students from tribal communities.
Through this initiative, Mission ESW continues its commitment to expanding educational access and creating opportunities for students from remote and underserved regions.
